Clovis - "Breathe" (Digipack CD, Sinnamon Records, 2005)
Fino Oyonarte and Cristina Plaza formed Clovis during a stay in New York in 2000, encouraged by their friends in Nada Surf. Their influences included the American-rooted noise pop of bands like Yo La Tengo, combined with Fino's experience as a producer for some of the best independent pop bands in Spain (Los Planetas, Lagartija Nick, Corcobado, Los Deltonos…) and his time as a member of the legendary Los Enemigos. This unique blend, further enhanced by the chemistry and rapport between Cristina and Fino, made Clovis a deeply personal project.
